Deering Bay's world-class amenities include an Arnold Palmer Signature golf course that is widely considered to be the top private club in the area.  Set on a tough 6,500 yard track that takes golfers through mangrove forests, bay front views and past the occasional endangered American Crocodile, Deering Bay's scenic course proves to be enjoyable to all skill levels.  In 2007, The Arnold Palmer Design Company was hired to oversee a complete renovation and re-grassing.  The golf course is impeccably maintained and is guaranteed to satisfy even the most discerning golfer. Each hole offers a visual and strategic playing experience that is situated in one of nature's most spectacular settings.  Here is a brief hole by hole overview:

Our Front Nine begins with a short, yet tricky par 4 and continues past our Marina and Grand Marina.  On Number 2 you'll find a long par 3 with water on both sides.  If you end up with a lost ball, don't let the magnificent yachts to your right steal your concentration, there's more beauty to come.  Our 3rd hole borders an inlet for Biscayne Bay, where you can spot a manatee if you're lucky and doglegs left to a lengthy green.  Number 4 is our number 1 handicap hole and features a long par 4 with mangroves on your right and beautiful homes on the left.  Number 5 is a short par 3 into a mangrove lined, wrap-around green with the safe play being in the center-left part of the green.  With a tee shot over water, our first par 5 is up next and features a dogleg right.  On number 7, you'll hit another tee shot over water with a slight dogleg left into a long and sloped green.  Number 8 is a Par 3 with water behind the green and a large bunker to the front right.  At a short 166 yards from the Blue tees, if you miss left, you’re in trouble; however this hole has the honor of having our most holes in one, so you could be next.  One of our signature holes is up next.  Number 9 is a par 5 that clocks in at a short 492 yards from the Gold Tees but boy is it challenging.  Once again, you'll be driving over water to a tight landing fairway bordered by our magnificent lagoon on the right and a mangrove marsh on the left.  Your second shot tests your patience with a tidal creek running the width of the fairway at about 200 yards from the green.  Those who lay up or go for the green will reach an undulating green lined with three traps.

Our back nine is slightly longer than the front but just as you get comfortable, the course bites back.  Number 10 is a par 5 that borders Deering Bay's Royal Palm lined entrance on the left.  Sometimes reachable in two it features water on the right and two traps near the green.  Number 11 is a short par 4 with a tight fairway with wetlands on your left.  One of our most scenic holes is up next with Number 12.  Featuring a 75 foot high raised tee box, this medium length par 3 requires a steady hand as you hit over our lagoon into a tight green with danger on all sides except right.  Number 13 is our number 2 handicap and sets up as a nice sized par 4.  A small lake and sand trap in front of the green have been known to swallow a ball or two.  Number 14 is our longest par 4 and sometimes plays even more challenging if the wind is blowing.  The fairway is one of our widest but with a trap lining the front left of the green it tends to be a tough approach shot.  Number 15 is a par 5 with a tee shot over water that takes you past our driving range on the left and water on the right.  Your best bet is to stay left as everything on the right side of the fairway tends to roll towards the water.  Number 16 is a beautiful par 3 which requires a tee shot over a spring fed, medium sized lake.  Number 17 is a short par 4 but challenges your aim with out of bounds and sand traps to the right and around the green.  Number 18 is a long par 4 that frequently sets up into the wind.  Testing your stamina with out of bounds on the right and trees on your left, it requires two long shots to get on the green in regulation.  We hope you enjoyed our hole by hole on this website; however we urge you to try our course firsthand.  It's much more rewarding.
